Hi, I’m Farajânio.
I was born in São Luís, the Island of Love, and maybe that’s why reggae has always been part of my soundtrack. Today I live in Paraná, I’m Léa’s husband, Ágda’s father, and I carry with me one certainty: it’s never too late to evolve.
I started working early — at just 8 years old — and since then I’ve walked many different paths. I’ve been a newspaper delivery boy, market vendor, cleaner, janitor, loading assistant, construction helper, bricklayer, painter, electrician, cashier, tailor, screen printer, real estate agent, and HR manager. In each role, I learned something essential: to take care of the details as if they were the whole. Later, I discovered that this attention had a name — craft.
While I was experimenting in so many areas, I never abandoned my true passions: illustration and art direction. That’s what took me from a small print shop in São Luís all the way to Area23 in New York, in a journey that has now spanned more than 15 years.
Today I’m still guided by the same passion I had when all of this seemed impossible. Every project is a chance to learn, create, and challenge myself. And that’s what drives me: the belief that there’s always room to grow and transform.
After all, if a former street vendor who started working at 8 years old could come this far, what isn’t possible?
